De Falco Winery
About us
For over half century De Falco winery has been producing high quality wines, uniting the traditional craftsmanship of wine-making with the innovation of high-tech production methods. The company is located in Novoli, a place in the heart of Salento’s wine producing area.
The deep know-how of Salvatore and the passion of his son, Gabriele have set the basis that allowed them to maintain continuity and to open the wines’ production towards new markets, in Italy and, above all, abroad, where, among the other wines, their Primitivo and their Negroamaro are highly appreciated.
Their focus is maintaining identity and keeping their family’s name indissolubly bound to the activity of wine-making. In their wines they protect all best natural features gifted by their generous land, by their climate and above all by Salento’s sun. However they are also convinced that the wine production process has to be based upon process and technologically advanced machinery .
They know all the characteristics of their grapes perfectly and personally follow all production’s stages. They pay much care and attention from vines’ growing until the final wines bottling.
The Vineyards
Their vineyards are all located in Salento territory.
They dedicate particular care to the production of wines such as Primitivo, Negroamaro and the DOC Salice Salentino and Squinzano.
They grow these grapes using the Apulian Sapling methods and the espalier. Their estates count about 3.500 vines per hectare cultivated at Apulian sapling which are about 30 years old. The ones cultivated at espalier are 5.400 per hectare with an average age of 20/30 years.
