THE PRODUCER : Italo Pietrantonj
Harvest time: Hand-harvested during the last week of October – beginning of November.
Production Gentle pressing of the red-grape clusters, cryomaceration on the skins to extract fruit aromas and varietal characteristics of the Montepulciano grape, followed by static cold-settling of the must, then controlled-temperature fermentation of the must. The wine is matured in steel, then aged in the bottle 2-3 months.
Nose: The nose is striking for its rich, lingering array of impressions, which include strawberry, wild cherry, and wild red berry fruit, as well as sour cherry jam and rose petals.
Taste The palate is remarkable for its velvety texture, roundness, and lengthy progression, as well as for the classic touch of almond on the finish.
